New Item...sneak peak
So I started on this rose today. I'm not exactly sure what I want to
do with it, but I know it will be a new hair piece. It's a dark blue with tons of glitter and I personally love it.
For those who don't know...I have to love my stuff in order for me to sell it. It's just the way I am. I'm way too hard on myself when it comes to seeing partial finger prints on my clay, but because I form all my roses by hand, there isn't much I can do about it. Sometimes I have to do a rose about 5 times for me to love it, and then again, sometimes the first time always comes out lovely. This rose only took me once to make it look fabulous! Now not sure what to put around it and how I'm going to add it to an accessory. Only time and imagination will tell.

ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about finger prints on clay...I think I have just come to accept it though. I've tried wearing gloves but I do not enjoy working with clay when I wear gloves. I like to feel the clay and plus the gloves or more of a pain because they bunch up and leave lines in the clay. D: I think I expect some finger prints in clay items...and it is kinda fun too because you know it was personally handmade for you! So I wouldn't worry about it too much!
I also have to love my items to sell them. There are some things I have made that I refuse to sell. When I want to keep the item because I like it so much...that to me is the best item to sell. :D
